We have therefore implemented technical and organisational measures to ensure compliance with data protection requirements. All web activities are carried out in accordance with the applicable legal provisions on the protection of personal data and data security. Our security measures are continuously adapted in line with technological developments. However, as we cannot guarantee complete data security when communicating by email, we recommend that you send confidential information by post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00a7 1 Information on the collection of personal data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(1) In the following, we provide information about the collection of personal data when you use our website. Personal data means any information that can be related to you personally, such as your name, address, email address and user behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(2) The controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Campusallee 12, D-32657 Lemgo. You can contact our Data Protection Officer at our postal address, adding \u2018Data Protection Officer\u2019, or by email at datenschutz@th-owl.de.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(3) If you contact us by email and\/or via the contact form, we store the data you provide (your email address, where applicable your name, and your enquiry) in order to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context as soon as storage is no longer necessary, or restrict processing if statutory retention obligations apply. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with the Higher Education Act of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (HG NRW), as by sending your email enquiry you consent to the data processing described above. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. The analysis takes place on our own servers, meaning that the data do not leave our system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, your IP addresses are anonymised immediately after processing and before storage (by masking the final bytes).
